Laser Fire heard in  Shipley Woods

Plunged into the semi darkness of the Woods you sense movement. In the darkness shadows move, a bright red light cuts through the darkness and barely missies you. Your heart pounds as you race for cover with your laser gun and return fire – deactivating your enemy sniper.

Well it was that time again when the early nights brought back the fear into Shipley Park Woods as the Group battled for survival as Laser warfare began in our own wide game, Instead of the dark corridors and flashing lights members where plunged into full darkness of the woods at Shipley Park, clear skys gave a more errie feel with little light from the stars and moon, a cool wind swept pass. Equipped with a torch and laser guns each team had to collect red balls and attack each base without being wiped out.

A number of games where placed before settling down under the stars for refreshments and returning home. 8 Members incl leaders turned up and it was great fun.

Lighthouse Youth V’s Men’s Group

The men's group took the opportunity and decided to challenge the youth to a multi games night, all was set and the youth accepted the challenge,

Well it was expected to be a thrilling and challenging time with the Men’s Group (leaders are members of men’s group so we joined them), which runs on Wednesday night taking on the youth of the Lighthouse club, despite high hopes it was a clear win as the more organised team work of the Men’s group beat the NOT so organised Younger team at both Unihock and volleyball, last 45 min was more just games with tabletennis, table Football and Air hockey. The night finished of with Free Supper provided by the men’s group, chips all round and refreshments.

It was great and both the men’s group and the members enjoyed the evening, and this will be done again, and maybe done with other groups.

What makes the Bible so amazing, special and important?

There has never been a book written in the same way as the Bible!

The Bible was written by over 40 authors...

who wrote from 3 different continents: Asia, Africa and Europe...

in many different places: wilderness, prison, traveling, islands...

at different times; covering a span of 1,500 years...

who did different kinds of jobs: fishermen, kings, shepherds, a herdsman, a politician, a doctor, a tax collector, a rabbinical scholar and more.

They all wrote about the same thing, and without any contradictions

The Word for TodayEphesians Chapter 3 (From God, in the Bible)

"I am able to do more for you than you could ever imagine."
