All New Venue

EP 05 is set to see things shake up a little with an all new venue and programme.

...trapped in materialism
...threatened by apathy
...disillusioned with post modernity
...lost in conformity
...searching for reality
...desperate for more
...the cry is for FREEDOM

Incarnate will have a similar format to last year but the age range will increase to cover young people aged between 11-14yrs.

Ignite and Envision are combining to create the all new Emerging Culture venue. Dedicated to mission and application of all that is being discussed, EC will embody and explore in a radical way the Freedom of Christ. Offering a very practical guide to worship, prayer, the word, mission and community. This is Church at its roots - based in Freedom! For those aged 15yrs+, the EC @ EP will be an open venue accessible to all. EC05 will not be a spectator sport! Come and get stuck in!

Both the venue and the programme will be designed to facilitate exploration of Freedom in Christ. What does this mean to new expressions of Church? What does this mean in the college and the workplace? What does this mean for our society? With a multitude of areas and activities there will be something for everyone to tap into.

The Programme So Far

Ultimately the whole EC programme is all about its fluidity and variation.

There will be stuff happening all through the day from 10am 'till midnight. Whatever stage you are at, there will be things to provoke questions and discussion and give you something to actively get your teeth stuck into!

mornings
The mornings will see an opportunity for group bible study and discussion or just coffee and toast followed by morning celebration and seminars. You can then grab lunch in the community room and hang out 'till mission.

afternoons
After lunch there will be a whole host of different mission teams hitting the streets, beach and homes of the town to share Jesus to those around. Dawn Patrol style teams will be doing anything from kids work, football comps, Social Action clean-ups, and social justice campaigns, street work, surf comps, there will be something for everyone of any age to be involved with.

evenings
After mission come back fired up to grab a quick bite and settle down for the open mic sessions followed by Practical Hour with a bible study with the key note speaker and a series of seminars and workshops around the venue.

To round off each day there will be a massive worship event exploring models of Church that fit different cultures and expressions. With anything from meditation to kick boxing and hip hop... Instead of simply talking about Church EC is all about living it!
