A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS - With the Return to Larklands for a nativity service, A Lad in a Manger Panto and a First Christingle at Notts Road..

A Very Special Christmas

On Wednesday 26th November a Christingle Service was held in response to a request by the Rainbow leaders. Now it has to be said that a few people were not entirely confident that many people would turn up on a Midweek day at 6.OOpm’ How surprising’ The schoolroom was so packed out we had people standing outside Rev June Mallabon used tight’ an Dark’ and candles to great effect Very significant, is the variety of people who came and that they came on a Midweek night maybe a lesson for us there. If the people won’t come to you — You go to the people’

Another Wednesday took Rev June to the Parent and Toddler Christmas Special — which included a short pram service and the tots Chrisimas party and again well attended and received!

'A Lad In A Manger' - Return of the Panto

Saturday 13th December was a fun filled, Nativity pantomime, A Lad in a Manger. A packed out house with a lively audience and a panto with a message,,, what a witness! Panto has an amazing way of drawing people together so much so that people wouldn’t leave. I have a sneaking suspicion that we have not seen the last of Pantomime!

Nativity 2003 - The Return to Larklands

Sunday 2lst December brought our Carol Service outside the stable with the Donkey’ /pony at the Concorde Inn. Larklands. Despite a bitterly cold night, large numbers of people turned up to sing a variety of lively carols and watch a Nativity build up as the Christmas story was read. The landlord and his wife support us so much, and have given Nottingham Road Church a great opportunity to witness to what God did for us by sending Jesus.
