ELEVATION - Rise of a 3rd
XTREME and Oxygen where great nights, but
they soon ran out of steam, a major meeting took place to discuss
its furture and many problems solved, rose and solutions made.
Ideas came out. One thing that did come was to Start fresh, using
the best bits of past events, a New Even was to be reborn, but
short lived
2000 - OXYGEN needs Fresh Oxygen.
- Despite Social gatherings which had a mix
reaction due to some bad and good nights. Ranging from Discos,
Quiz Nights, Bonfire and othersl. This and many other factors is why a meeting
had to be placed. Despite its Great start Oxygen was going the
same way as Xtreame, and was loosing Air rapidly.
SO 2001 CAME WITH A NEW STAR ON THE HORIZON
ELEVATION Youth Event Goes to Next Generation
LAfter careful planning and organising
it was set to blast of, this time it took off with high publicity,
great ideas and as Notts Rd was the Host the Lighthouse club was
invited.
The first Elevation for 2001 took its place on Sat Feb 23rd. (on
the Second anniversary) taking over from its Brothers. Elevation made its entrance. This included Disco Lights, a LIVE Youth Band – Blueprint – with Dance from Our Reflections Group and Drama from Xplosion. Also free food, refreshments, dancing and
a whole load of Games, workshops, graffity wall and Prayer area.
It was a High attending fun filled night. This was what people
wanted and feedback was out of this world, over 60 people gave
feedback and all positve with most saying the best yet, so from
its rise came its second bout.
Elevation II – Recharge
After the success of the first instalment in Feb, there had to be a 2nd and was in demand,
yet 4 months was to pass, had it still got the appeal, so on after
planning and organising it went ahead on June 15th, again at Notts
Road, the building was thrown into action. With more fun, thrills, music and multimedia, Cameras
recorded live pictures onto the huge screens, while a Live Band (return of Blue Print) provided the music. Disco Lights, Graphics and Visual Screens gave an electrifying and multimedia experience. There was also a Tuck shop, a Non-alcoholic Bar, Drama, Talks and Games. It was a brilliant 2 hours of fun, music and something to remember.
Lighthouse club members enjoyed both nights and this has become.
Sadly this was the last Night from June 2001 -
Now ELEVATION never rose its head, so it stayes as it is, a past
memory, yet a number of attempts to rise Elevation have been made
yet to no movement. We leave with Questions to be answerd.
